"This email is already in use by another client" error message when adding a client

Using a client email more than once will give you a red banner error message

If you receive an error message like the one above, the email address is already in use for another client and can't be used again. Each client or guardian requires a unique email address for Client Portal access for each individual client.

Note: You'll need to use a different email address to grant the client access to the Client Portal.

If a client or guardian does not have another email address, we recommend that they create another email using a free service like Gmail.

Alternatively, we've found a workaround that works well for clients with Gmail.
