Confirming your email address

Congrats on starting your free trial with SimplePractice. Now it's time to confirm your email address!

It's important to confirm your email address for a few reasons:

1. You are verifying that this is the address where you will receive sensitive account information. 

2. If you need to change your password or recover your username, your email address must be confirmed before you'll be able to log back into your account. 

Confirming your email address is very easy, and the earlier you confirm, the better. When you sign up for SimplePractice, you receive a number of emails to help you get started. Make sure that you find your confirmation email before it gets lost in the fray!

If you don't confirm your email after about a week, you will see this red bar at the top of your login screen. You'll also see this screen if you attempt to log in after resetting your password:

Click on the words "you can request a new one here." This will bring up the following screen: 

On this screen, input your account username and email and click "Resend instructions." You'll then receive a new email with a link to confirm your email address. Once you click this link, you'll be able to log back into your account. 

Note: If you have multiple email addresses, you will need to enter the email address that you have saved on the Basic Info page of your Account Settings. 

Your confirmation email subject heading will read:

Confirm your email address - SimplePractice

And the body will look like this:

Click on the link in this email, and that's it! You're confirmed!
