Closing SimplePractice Learning FAQs

We’ll be discontinuing SimplePractice Learning, our continuing education marketplace, on September 30, 2024. To help our community of learners prepare for this transition, we’ve prepared this guide to address frequently asked questions.

Why is SimplePractice Learning closing?

SimplePractice Learning will be discontinued on September 30, 2024.

Closing SimplePractice Learning isn’t a decision we made lightly. While SimplePractice Learning has been a valuable resource for many clinicians, we’ve decided to focus on our core services and EHR offerings to better serve our community.


How does this impact my SimplePractice EHR account?

The SimplePractice Learning continuing education platform is independent of our SimplePractice practice management platform. If you currently use the SimplePractice EHR, please note that the closing of SimplePractice Learning has no impact on your SimplePractice EHR account.


How long do I have to complete courses I’ve purchased?

Starting September 30, 2024, your SimplePractice Learning account will no longer be accessible. We strongly encourage you to complete your courses before this date.

To start or resume a course, please navigate to the Dashboard of your SimplePractice Learning account. For more information, see Getting started with SimplePractice Learning.

Note: Refunds will not be issued for incomplete courses.  


Can I still enroll in new courses?

You have until August 30, 2024 to enroll in new courses. You’ll continue to have access to your enrolled courses until September 30, 2024. You can access your incomplete courses or review past courses from the Dashboard of your SimplePractice Learning account.


How can I access my course certificates?

To download your course certificates, please navigate to the Certificates tab of your Dashboard and click View certificate. When viewing a certificate, you’ll have the option to download it as a PDF. For more information, see Managing your certificates.

We strongly recommend that you download your course certificates for your records before September 30, 2024 as they will be inaccessible after this date.

Tip: If you have a SimplePractice account, you can upload your course certificates to Settings > Practice > Business files. To learn more, see Managing business files.


Can I download a course I’ve purchased?

SimplePractice Learning platform doesn’t offer the ability to download courses. However, you can download the course slides, along with any resources referenced during a course, directly from the course player. To learn more, see Navigating the course player.


What will happen to my gifted courses or codes/coupons I’ve been issued?

All gifted courses, credit coupons, and redemption codes will expire on August 30, 2024. We highly recommend that you redeem any gifts, coupons, or codes you’ve been issued by this date. 

Note: You’ll have until September 30, 2024 to complete all courses.


What will happen to my Learning Pass subscription?

If you have questions about an existing Learning Pass subscription, please submit a help request by clicking the ? Help button in your SimplePractice Learning account.


Will SimplePractice Learning courses be available elsewhere after September 30?

After September 30, 2024, most SimplePractice Learning courses will be available via subscription the Professional Training module of Psych Hub's Mental Health Learning Platform, which offers a robust library of evidence-based courses and mental health content.
