Using Dropbox for SmartBilling Pro customers

Sharing documents with your SmartBilling Pro teammates is secure and easy with DropBox. Once you sign your SmartBilling Pro contract, you will receive an email invitation to access a shared DropBox folder. 

Here's what to do next:

  • Click Go to Folder. This shared folder is HIPAA compliant so you can upload correspondence from the payer. Please use this folder to share Explanations of Benefits that aren’t posted electronically to your account and any other information relevant to your insurance billing.

Note: If you already have a DropBox account, you can use that email and password to access the shared folder just by clicking the email invitation. Otherwise, you will need to create an account at no extra cost to you.

  • To add documents to the shared folder, click Upload > Files.

  • Next, you will be able to select the Document you need to share with your SmartBilling Pro teammates from your computer.
  • Finally, please inform a SmartBilling Pro teammate via Secure Messaging anytime you add documents to DropBox. If you have any trouble using DropBox, please go to www.dropbox.com/help for guidance.

Important: After your SmartBilling Pro teammates are finished with a document, they will delete it from Dropbox. They delete the document from Dropbox as part of their workflow to ensure that they have handled all of the necessary parts of this process for you.
