As your practice grows and you begin adding more clinicians, you will want to ensure that each clinician hired is granted only the appropriate access to the account information that is required for them to do their job.
With SimplePractice, you have full control over which information other clinicians in your practice can see, and which settings they are able to access.

What setting menus will look like for each team member:
On the Settings landing page, each team member will have a transparent view into the settings that they have access to edit. All available settings fields will be clickable and shown in blue, while any settings fields outside of their permission level will be greyed out and inaccessible. If there is a field that they need to edit that they don't have access to, the Account Owner can update their role to grant access. Below, we'll show what's available at each access level.
Clinicians with Full Client List Access, Clinicians with Basic Access (+Billing):
Clinicians who don't have Administrator Access will be able to access settings for their own: Basic Info, Calendar (including external calendar sync), and Notifications:
Clinician with Basic Access + Billing cannot see full practice client lists, client charts nor appointment details for other clinicians in the practice. In order to see any client information, the clinician must be granted Client Access.
Clinicians with Administrator Access:
Clinicians with Administrator Access have access to all Practice Settings except those which are reserved for the Account Owner (see below).
The person who creates the SimplePractice account will automatically be considered the Account Owner. As an Account Owner, they'll have access to all account settings, including the Administration Settings, which are exclusively reserved for this role. The Administration Settings include: Subscription Information, Team Members, Business Documents, Demo Data, and Data Export.
Note: Account Ownership cannot be transferred within your SimplePractice account. If you would like to update the Account Owner for your practice, you'll need to reach out to our team.
