Writing off Balance

Hello,

I need help with writing off a balance a client has already paid. We switched from self-pay to insurance, and he doesn't need to pay his co-pays since he has already paid and I am actually reimbursing him. When I look at the options to go to billing and edit, there is no option to write off his copays. If I put the copays as zero for those appointments, then it registers as a credit. I need assistance with simply writing off a balance. Thanks!

    I have the same problem, when I write off a balance, it makes it a credit.  How do I solve this?

    Same with me. There has to be a feature where we can write off an outstanding balance that involves unpaid insurance copays. At least that is my situation. I don't have many but they linger in the background, some from 2021.

    Everyone needs this information and SP seems to be indifferent to the accounting needs of it's customers, especially during year end and tax season.
