My accountant told me that anyone I pay over $600 for the year needs a 1099 issued to them. My internet service provider (Spectrum) made a W9 available and sent out an email, making the process, well, simple. Where is Simple Practice's W-9 or how do I request one of them? My accountant said I still have to file one if they refuse to complete a W9, with the information I can find.

Unless you pay more than $600 of your S/P bills by check or cash, it is not required.

Which payments are excluded from the 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC form?
Payments to 1099 vendors made via credit card, debit card, or third-party system, such as PayPal, are excluded from the 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC calculations. This is because the financial institution reports these payments, so you don't have to.
