  I had the same problem with Magellan Medicaid when they switched over to using Availity.  It was so, so frustrating!  I never got a straight answer - not from Magellan, Availity, nor Simple Practice.  I now have to file claims by hand through the Availity portal.  It is tedious, but the upside is that I'm getting paid much faster than when they were accepting my Simple Practice claims.  That may end up being your solution, too.

  My ohio medicaid claim is doing the same, rejecting saying my NPI is invalid.  I will try to file thru availity and see if that works!
