splitting payment with another clinican who doesn't use SP

Hi all!

I will be doing a group with an 'outside' clinician and am trying to figure out how to split payment with them.  Group members will be paying me but then I will need to pay the other therapist half of this.  I can write a check obviously but how do I document this in SP so that taxes etc are accurate down the road??  Anyone have ideas on what to do when working with another therapist who isn't part of SP?

  You will need to pay the client directly, then at the end of the year you will need to issue them a 1099-NEC. They will then have to pay the taxes and you can deduct it from yours.

  I think you just need to report your income and give them a 1099 at the end of the year for  their earnings to file
