I now see the other post about the capability to email treatment plans to clients to e-sign. Is that only available on the premium subscription? (I am on the middle plan and I do not have an option to share).

Additionally, I work with unhoused individuals who do not have the ability to electronically sign or receive documents by email. Can you provide direction for how to print out treatment plans to sign by hand? Thank you!

Hi Dana, not sure why the Simple Practice team is not chiming in. They were pretty helpful when I got ahold of them via chat.

Unfortunately the "share" option is only available at the $99 premium version :/. As for the signing the treatment plan, they suggested I make another "treatment plan acknowledgement" template and have clients sign that. However when reviewing that option with my supervisor and Medicaid specialist they said it'd actually be best to literally hand write in our own signature line once printed out and have the client sign on the treatment plan itself. I'm still waiting back from my local RAE here in Colorado to see if they will accept a hand-written signature line document.

Seems like this would be a pretty simply fix for Simple Practice to add!

Hi Joel, thanks for your response. I have the middle plan too. I did find that if I sign the plan then then the share option becomes available. I think I'll download the draft to share with client then sign when we're all in agreement and send for their signature. Shouldn't be so many steps!

I have the highest plan and the only way is to share it with them.  Unfortunately, some clients don't have email or forget to sign when home so it isn't a very viable option as tp must be signed when completed.  Theranest allows you to create a tp, sign and hand over your device to have the client sign with you present.  Hoping simple practice does this soon

I have the mid plan and yes, I can share for signature! I edited the treatment plan to add a client signature line. Then, after you fill and sign it yourself, go back into it through the client page, and in the upper right corner you should see a share button- share with your client and it will be sent to them to e-sign. I opened a test client and sent it to myself and it worked like a charm!
