Cant delete a client

I also am having this same issue. I click the red "delete this client" button, indicate that I want to delete and not just make inactive, and put in the client's first and last name before clicking the "delete" button. Nothing happens and the client remains in the account.

I am currently on hold with the phone support line and will post with any update I receive.

I connected via phone support and my support specialist said this is an issue for some clients and their engineering team is working on it. They suggested that I just make them inactive for now and they'll follow up once the issue is resolved. I will follow up with you here once I hear anything.

This is maddening. I have a client who's email I accidentally forgot a letter. I updated the email but can't send new documents to the new email. So now, completely contrary to common sense, I am trying to delete the client. I hit the red button, and it popped up and asked for a confirmation text, which I entered my phone number, second red delete button is greyed. Out. I will try to make them inactive and hope it lets me create a dup client and just maintain a confusing dup entry as inactive.

If anyone finds anything useful, please update us! This is so wild and makes no sense on any front.

update: making them inactive does not make it possible to create a dup because I get "email in use" which is so ironic given that it won't resend documents to the updated address! I deleted all the documents and tried to start over, no go. It still wants to send them to the original email. I signed out and back in. I made them active then inactive then active again. Nothing makes it possible to enter these clients AND send them documents after making this silly (and not uncommon) mistake.
