Seeing Couple Individually

How can I add a new client when I have seen them as a couple in the past?

I can't use their email because it says it is already in use.

  Create the client without the email. Go under the original patient /edit/ contacts and merge the new client with the original. It gives the option where you tell it that they are now also a patient. Had to do it with a few parents and spouses when I see the other half. Always a bit of a pin to do it until SP ask if you want to merge them.
