I would like to know how to do this as well. I have a client I saw 2 years ago who has returned. How do I send them the updated practice policies and procedures?

Ditto!  Have a client restarting therapy after discharged.  How to I create and send new paperwork?

    Hello All,

I just figured out a work around!  Seems like we have to figure out how to do more and more of this, especially as an SLP.

Go to your current Practice policies document.

    Copy the whole form

    create a new consent form

Paste the document into the new form

I suggest renaming the form (updated policies 2025) then in future years you just have to copy and paste, make your edits and change the year.

Then go back to the sharable documents page and un-click the original document and click the newer one.

Then go to a specific patient/client.

Click on the share button in the top right

Then just select the document(s) you want to share.

As far as I can tell you have to edit each document like this. Some old documents you can delete but not all of them.

You also have to send to each client independently.

    Good Luck

    Jennifer

I ended up discovering the same work around today that Jennifer did. Thank you for taking the time to post that to us!! It does stink to have to send the updated documents one by one instead of to our caseload all at once. I hope they add/fix this feature for us soon!

A few months ago, I submitted a suggestion ticket requesting a bulk action feature for sending annual policy forms to all active clients. It feels unnecessarily tedious to send these forms one by one for the required annual renewal, especially when a single, streamlined option would be far more efficient. Vote on the suggestion!  https://feedback.simplepractice.com/forums/940492-notes-documents-and-reports/suggestions/47633111-automated-yearly-intake-forms#comments
