Adding parent email to a minor's account that is already in use by a different clinician that sees the parent.
I am trying to add a new client that is a minor. The parent is seen by a different clinician in our practice. I am not able to merge or add existing client due to the parent being seen by a different clinician. How do I add this minor with the parents email address in use by a different clinician.

I can not get any help with this. Children do not have their own email addresses. Also, they might with school however, due to privacy we can not use these emails. If they have a cell phone they can receive reminders that way. I do understand this can be age sensitive. One would think, this would be a big issue and support would see and respond and help us.

I am adding a Mother and 11 y.o. child - both to be seen individually by the same clinician, the child does not have an email or cell and I cannot complete the creation to book the minor after booking Mom - it used to be that we left the child email blank and added it under the contact and THAT worked - this is no longer working... HOW DO YOU WE SET THIS UP? and yes, I am yelling! I have wasted 3 hours on this today

Hi all!!
Not sure if this will help you. I was able to add the child with this +1217@gmail while using parent's email for contact. The parent received the paperwork and is getting reminders even though SP says they don't go through. The child had a phone and the reminders are going to the phone as well. I had someone help me with this so I am a little clueless with it all. It would be nice to have some help with this from SP.

are you using this as a blanket dummy email? I have thought of this but the notifications in SP are SO LABORIOUS... I do not have another phone number but was able to finally complete a profile for my young person, and agree would love more help from SP - the videos are not what they need to be and live classes useless to the details we need. I am told to submit a ticket - but submitting a ticket and then waiting several days and being shown a tutorial is maddening.... in 2 years I have had only 2 assists that were truly helpful and gave me resources.

using the +1217@gmail.com worked for me - this is a dummy email I spent most of last Tuesday trying to add a minor client and the mother - it is insane that I spent so many hours trying and researching this SP is not as good as it used to be,it was a laborious task before BUT worked and NOW you have to find a way around all the insanity.... :(

@Jeffery Scott - AND I discovered that if you already have the minor in the system, but need to add the parent as a client you go to the minor's profile, click contact, and in top right corner of contact info is a box that says "Manage". The drop down says "create an individual client" - this will set up a client portal for the parent.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to add siblings while ensuring the same parent is included as a contact:
- Create a client profile for the first sibling
- Leave the minor client’s email address field blank if they don’t have one
- Add the parent as a contact
- Create a client profile for the second sibling
- To add the same parent as a contact, select Add Existing Client or Contact
- Search for the parent’s name
- Click the circle next to their name and click Select
If the parent is already listed in your account, select Add Existing Client or Contact and use the search bar to find their profile. Otherwise, manually entering the parent's name will create a separate profile.
If you’re receiving an Email already in use error, it’s likely that a separate profile was created and the contact is a duplicate. To fix this, you’ll want to merge the two contact profiles into one:
- Navigate to your Clients list
- Use the drop down menu to filter for Contacts
- Search for the parent’s name in the search bar
- Click Manage > Merge with duplicate
- Select the duplicate contact profile
- Click Preview merge
- Review the information before merging the profiles, as this can’t be undone
- Select Confirm merge
- Create a client profile for the first sibling
