Spell Check function - needs updated

In my opinion, the current spell-check function is not user friendly.

In my own experiences, I notice that the word "the" frequently gets misspelled as "teh" my fault not yours... but it is difficult to physically see the word as it has a light grey squiggly line under it whereas other misspelled words will have a red squiggly line under them. This is tough on my eyes. 

It would be most helpful to have a spell check button at the bottom of the page or the top that was similar to that in a Word document that would allow you to press one button and check the whole page for errors. 

Does anyone else feel this way?
