Hi, I'm Jackie and I'm learning my way around Simple Practice. I do everything in SP except progress notes. The issue I'm having is being able to sent secured messages to clients. I tried un-checking the auto fill in Chrome as suggested, however that still did not work. Can someone please help?
-
Hi Jackie,
My name is Liz and I've been speaking with your account owner, Michelle, to make sure you get Secure Messaging access. I just sent them an email which I think will solve the problem and help you start using our Secure Messaging feature.
As you're learning all about SimplePractice, I would recommend checking out our awesome Classes which are offered as pre-recorded videos and as live classes taught by our team or Product Specialists. If you have time for the live classes, I'd highly recommend them, because they include open Q&A sessions where you can get lots of your questions answered quickly.

Carol,
Tricare finally (finally!) made it possible to submit claims through SimplePractice. It took 4-8 weeks for my application to be approved to submit claims electronically through SP, but I think it's working smoothly now. I still have to enter payments manually, but at least the claims and EFT are working.

Hi, I am Dr Willson and relatively new to simple practice. I recently had a bank account change and several of my payouts failed. I have entered my new bank account info and it is properly stored. How do I reinitiate the payouts to the new bank account? The patients' credit cards have already been run.

Hi Trish, welcome to our Community!
Lisa, I'd be happy to help. You can add a Chart Note to the client's chart on their Overview page. Here's a helpful walkthrough on how to use Chart Notes. https://support.simplepractice.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006912192-Using-chart-notes

Andrew, welcome to the SimplePractice Community. To add your digital signature to Progress Notes, simply click "Lock" after saving the note. This will prevent the note from being editable in the future and will add an eSignature to the footer of the note in printed format. Be sure to finalize your note before locking it, as you will not be able to add additional information or make changes after the note is locked and signed.

Hi. My name is Dorothy. I'm an MFT in San Rafael California. I recently realized that the insurance companies I am on panel for have started paying in full for tele-health sessions while we are under the stay-at-home order. I collected my client's co-pays for April, and need to refund them. I take payments by cc through SP and Stripe. But I see that if I do the refund through SP, a fee will be charged against the amount being refunded to my client. How can I absorb the cost of the transaction fee, rather than having the cost deducted from my client's refund amount?
-
Hi Dorothy, I can't speak to the specifics here, but if I understand the terms correctly, your client should receive their refund in full, while you'll still have to pay the fees from the original transaction (you can see this page from SP Support which details the refund process). I haven't run into this, but I think if you've already had the payout, Stripe will either deduct the fees from your connected bank account, or else reflect those fees in the next payout. But probably your best bet would be to hit the little question mark at the bottom right of any SP page when you're logged in and send them a message to request clarification there. Hope that helps, and hope you and your clients are doing well and staying safe out there! Cheers from NM.

Hi there!
My name is Krystal, and I'm very excited to be involved with the opening of a new behavioral health private practice in Rhode Island, serving MA, RI and CT. I am currently in the credentialing process, but our hopeful open date (November) is quickly approaching. We will be offering neuropsychological testing, counseling and other types of specialties via telehealth.
Right now, I am having difficulty gathering information regarding the best equipment to use in conjunction with Simple Practice for performing neuropsychological testing via telehealth. Is anyone else having these challenges? I would be grateful for any suggestions!

Hello Everyone,

Hello SP community! My name is Diane Recob and I am an LCSW in private practice in West Central Illinois. We just moved here from Madison, WI. I have three little dogs, Coco, Milo and Leo. They are very happy to be with me as I continue to work via Telehealth from home! I'm really looking forward to being part this community.
I have a question to begin with. Is it possible to take online credit card payments from clients at the time of session without the client having to store their credit card information? I already have clients who do not wish to store that information online.

Hi - I've been on SP for about 2 years, since getting licensed and starting my practice.
I WILL BE LEAVING SP due to their ridiculous new pricing, which puts their most used features in the highest price tier.
SP, you're dealing with a customer base that is very educated (given the point of entry for this profession) and tech savvy (given that we chose to use an EHR to manage our small businesses). A quick pair of google searches will lead you to fairly priced alternatives and instruction on how to transfer your records. You've let greed get the best of you, and made yourself an adversary of your customers. Bad faith and bad business. There are too many other EHR options for you to have made such a bold and selfish judgement call.
Ya done f*d up, SP.
