Hi Chris, you can Load a Previous Note for any Progress Note as long as there is a previous note entered for the session. Welcome!

    Hi Jackie,

My name is Liz and I've been speaking with your account owner, Michelle, to make sure you get Secure Messaging access. I just sent them an email which I think will solve the problem and help you start using our Secure Messaging feature.

As you're learning all about SimplePractice, I would recommend checking out our awesome Classes which are offered as pre-recorded videos and as live classes taught by our team or Product Specialists. If you have time for the live classes, I'd highly recommend them, because they include open Q&A sessions where you can get lots of your questions answered quickly.

    Greetings,

Hello, my name is Carol Cherich. Just signed up with simple practice in hopes of filing Tricare insurance claims. Any suggestions or feedback on how that works for anyone else?

    Thanks,

    Carol Cherich

    Carol,

Tricare finally (finally!) made it possible to submit claims through SimplePractice.  It took 4-8 weeks for my application to be approved to submit claims electronically through SP, but I think it's working smoothly now.  I still have to enter payments manually, but at least the claims and EFT are working.

Hi, I am Dr Willson and relatively new to simple practice.  I recently had a bank account change and several of my payouts failed.  I have entered my new bank account info and it is properly stored.  How do I reinitiate the payouts to the new bank account?  The patients' credit cards have already been run.

Hi Dr. Willson! Your payouts will automatically be routed to the new bank account - there's nothing you need to do on your end. Welcome to our community!

    Hello,

I am Trish. I am opening my private practice. Looking forward to learning and growing and hopeful that Simple Practice is as simple as I need it to be because the documentation and technical stuff are definitely not my strong points! LOL

Hi I'm Lisa and our group practice just started using Simple Practice last week. I just had an emergency phone session with a client and need to put in a simple note (there's no scheduled session for this phone call). How do I do it? I don't see how...Thanks!

Hi Trish, welcome to our Community!

Lisa, I'd be happy to help. You can add a Chart Note to the client's chart on their Overview page. Here's a helpful walkthrough on how to use Chart Notes. https://support.simplepractice.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006912192-Using-chart-notes

Hi SP,  please inform me on how to add my digital signature to my progress notes.

    Respectfully,

Andrew, welcome to the SimplePractice Community. To add your digital signature to Progress Notes, simply click "Lock" after saving the note. This will prevent the note from being editable in the future and will add an eSignature to the footer of the note in printed format. Be sure to finalize your note before locking it, as you will not be able to add additional information or make changes after the note is locked and signed.

Thank you, Gillian. On a second thought, is there a way for me to digitally sign with my own script signature?

Adobe esignatures are script in nature

Andrew, SimplePractice doesn't currently have a feature that will add your script signature to your Progress Notes. However, the eSignature attached to your note is legally binding per the Federal eSign Act, and for all intents and purposes is equivalent to a script signature.

Hi. My name is Dorothy. I'm an MFT in San Rafael California. I recently realized that the insurance companies I am on panel for have started paying in full for tele-health sessions while we are under the stay-at-home order. I collected my client's co-pays for April, and need to refund them. I take payments by cc through SP and Stripe. But I see that if I do the refund through SP, a fee will be charged against the amount being refunded to my client. How can I absorb the cost of the transaction fee, rather than having the cost deducted from my client's refund amount?

Hi Dorothy, I can't speak to the specifics here, but if I understand the terms correctly, your client should receive their refund in full, while you'll still have to pay the fees from the original transaction (you can see this page from SP Support which details the refund process). I haven't run into this, but I think if you've already had the payout, Stripe will either deduct the fees from your connected bank account, or else reflect those fees in the next payout. But probably your best bet would be to hit the little question mark at the bottom right of any SP page when you're logged in and send them a message to request clarification there. Hope that helps, and hope you and your clients are doing well and staying safe out there! Cheers from NM.

Does anyone know if there's a way to account for a refund to my client when I've written them a check rather than do there refund through SP? My client had her purse stolen, and no longer has the card she paid me for those sessions with.

Embarrassed to say that, with enough research, I figured out how to account for the refund I gave to my client by check. I just added a negative client payment by hand!

    Hi there!

My name is Krystal, and I'm very excited to be involved with the opening of a new behavioral health private practice in Rhode Island, serving MA, RI and CT.  I am currently in the credentialing process, but our hopeful open date (November) is quickly approaching.  We will be offering neuropsychological testing, counseling and other types of specialties via telehealth.

Right now, I am having difficulty gathering information regarding the best equipment to use in conjunction with Simple Practice for performing neuropsychological testing via telehealth. Is anyone else having these challenges? I would be grateful for any suggestions!
