Anyone know how much it costs to use the concierge service Smart Billing Pro? I'd like to know asap please! 🙂

    Hey Anne, I’m Dylan and I head up the SBP team. SmartBilling Pro will submit, correct and follow your insurance claims through their entire lifecycle. Every claim we submit on your behalf will be finalized so you never leave hard earned money behind again. This includes correcting scrubbing errors, rejections, denials, timely filing letters and appeals. We will address any issues and resubmit an accurate claim to the insurance payer. Our pricing is as follows:

    8% of insurance reimbursements
    $4.75 per claim applied to your client’s deductible
    $300 one time setup fee per clinician

    That’s it!

    I just scheduled a 15 min info meeting to find out how much it costs and what the service includes.  Ill post the cost after my meeting that is scheduled tomorrow at 4:00.

    Will there be anyone to speak with in person once I sign up or will customer service continue to be by email only?  I don't like that.

    During what hours? I work until 9pm and hours only until 5pm is not effective for me. It's part of the problem I'm having taking care of insurance issues now myself!

    Hi Anne,

    I understand how difficult it can be to find the time to tackle these time consuming insurance issues when you are already juggling a busy schedule. In general, we are available from 9-5 PST but we are often available earlier as well as later into the evening.  The insurance company phone lines close at 5pm so often there isn't as much denial resolution to complete if reaching out to them is necessary.  It is incredibly important to us that we are available to support our customers insurance concerns as quickly as possible each day.

    I have a practice with several clinicians.  Will it be $300 per clinician?

    Does that include the paperwork to get credentialed with each insurance panel and EAP?

    Yes, the $300 set up fee is per clinician.  This allows us to get your SmartBilling Pro account up and running and most importantly, we can begin building your insurance profile.  This profile captures every nuance of your practice and it's billing needs and ensures accuracy across the board.  The start up fee does not include paneling with insurances.  If you have any more questions let me know and I'd be happy to find a time for us to connect via phone.  Thanks.

    I am currently a simple practice customer. I love the documentation portion of this service but I am currently not impressed with the billing aspect. The one time set up fee is $300 per clinician. If I chose to use smart billing pro do i also pay 8% of the claim as well as a 4.75 cent fee. If this is true what is the benefit of staying with simple practice as opposed to utilizing psyquel. They do not charge a set up fee. They do charge a per claim charge once billing is collected but they handle verification of insurance as well as managing the claim. I am have not decided to make the change as of yet and I am trying to make an informed decision but I would like to gather information before I have entered and fully invested my clients into any one program I also do not like that I cannot reach a live person. This would have been alot easier if I could have spoken to someone.

    Hi Julie, I'd be happy to help! The setup fee is only if you're leveraging our concierge billing service, Smartbilling Pro - if you plan to do your billing yourself through SimplePractice, it costs just $0.25 a claim.

    Regarding SmartBilling Pro's pricing, it's actually 8% of the reimbursement when insurance reimburses. If insurance does not reimburse because of a deductible, then it's just $4.75 a claim.

(If a current SP subscriber already has these things set up and Smart Billing Pro would just be taking over the account that is already set-up the setup fee of that amount doesn't seem justified.) Please clarify if the $300 is for a new-to-SP customer set-up or existing SP set-up.
