Adding Insurance Providers in simple Practice
AnsweredI have a practice in Minnesota and I wonder if there are folks in the community who understand the insurance landscape here. I have group contracts with MHCP (medicaid), Medicare, Ucare, BCBS MN, Optum (for Behavioral health, this also includes Medica, UBH, United Healthcare ), Hennepin Health, Prime West.
I was able to add following payers in Simple Practice (payer id in parenthesis).
Medicaid of Minnesota - payer id- (MNMCD)
Medicare Part B of Minnesota (MNMCR)
Ucare of Minnesota (19991)
BCBS MN (MNBLS) Prime West Health Plan (61604) |
My question is as follows-
1. I wanted to make sure above payer ids are correct. For eg when I called Ucare today they gave me payer id 52629, but simple practice shows payer id 19991 for Ucare.
2. Could not find Hennepin Health. Does this mean I go via their portal or can this be manually added?
3. optum has so many options and I am not sure what to select.
Thanks

I am in New Jersey and have just signed up for simple practice. I sent my client a link to the portal and her insurance wasn't on the list, how do you add an insurance? Thank you!
