    Hi Charlyn,

I took a look at your SimplePractice account and I see that you haven't submitted an enrollment to file claims electronically through SimplePractice or to receive payment reports through SimplePractice from Medicare. Is it possible that you are attempting to credential/panel with Medicare? If so, it is always recommended to complete the credentialing/paneling process as if you were going to submit paper claims. If Medicare in your state doesn't accept paper claims, you can complete the credentialing/paneling process as if you were going to submit claim electronically through their own Provider Portal which is often called Novitas. Our clearinghouse is not able to assist with the credentialing/paneling process as they are not able to sign the required documents as the provider's biller. Please refer to the following article for a detailed explanation of the process: The Credentialing / Paneling process and SimplePractice

Please let me know if this rings true. If so, once you've completed the entire credentialing/paneling process, you can submit an enrollment to file claims electronically through SimplePractice and to receive payment reports through SimplePractice from Medicare. Please refer to the following article for a detailed explanation of the process: How do I submit an enrollment to file claims or receive payment reports?

Please feel free to reply directly to my email if you have any further questions and we can go through them together.

    All the best,

    Hello Thea,

I am not sure if this will help, but the clearinghouse that simplepractice uses is Eligible Inc., https://eligible.com/network will show you the  payer id codes. You will have to look for the state for the Medicare you will be billing to.

Hi Thea, typically, this information is auto-filled when you're enrolling within SimplePractice.

It sounds like you’re trying to submit an enrollment to get set up to be able to file claims electronically through SimplePractice and you’re doing this directly with the payer. Is this correct? If so, the steps you’re taking are unnecessary.

All you need to do is submit your enrollment to that payer via SimplePractice and our clearinghouse will take care of the rest for you. In case you need help submitting your enrollment through SimplePractice, take a look at the article below:

    https://support.simplepractice.com/hc/en-us/articles/207925273-Submitting-enrollments-for-claim-filing-and-payment-reports

Once you submit your enrollment, our clearinghouse will work with the payer to finalize that process on your behalf.

These steps are not unnecessary and indeed, if they are not followed, I will be removed from Medicare and I have a letter from Medicare stating so.  Please advise. I was forced to move from my ss # to bill to my EIN to bill when I moved to simple practice. I am really disappointed in the process so far.

Charlyn, did you take a look at Dustin's message above? Please clarify whether you're enrolling or paneling with Medicare.

    Hi,

I am enrolled with Medicare and have an EDI on file; however, in order to do electronic payments with Simple practice, I am in need of Eligible' information to submit to Medicare.  I have completed the payer enrollment and the status is pending.  Is there a way to speed  up the process?  I have a submitter ID, just need Eligible' info..

Hi Donna, enrollments with Medicare take 6-8 weeks on average. If you find that it's taking longer, please reach out to our Success team directly through the red Help bubble in your account so we can work with our clearinghouse to push your enrollment through.

Yes, I am requesting to expedite the process. Please let me know what you need from me to expedite.

    Thanks

Hi Donna, I will create a request to our team on your behalf. However, please be mindful that we are not able to expedite enrollment requests unless they are taking longer than usual. If you've submitted your enrollment less than 6-8 weeks ago, we are unlikely to be able to expedite your request, as the payer needs time to process the enrollment and we don't have control over the payer processing time. Thanks for understanding.

I just completed the EDI application but did not print it/sign it to upload back to SP.  In searching for a way to use my packet ID# to do this...I learned that this action is not possible.  Can you please explain how this may/may not impact my enrollment for electronic processing?  Thank you!

    Hi Kristen,

I understand that you've completed the EDI application on the payer's portal but didn't print out the confirmation that you've completed the steps.

In this case, did you happen to save the Packet ID#? If so, I can pass it along to our clearinghouse to see if they're able to find the completed EDI application in their system and let you know about next steps.

If you have any additional questions regarding this, please reach out and let me know.

My medicare enrollment is being denied due to "The enrollment was rejected because ERA is a requirement for EDI Enrollment. Please complete the Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) block with your preference for receiving ERA".    The forms were automatically generated for me through Simple Practice so have no clue what to change in this block to complete my enrollment....anyone have a clue????
