Hi Sharon, I'd be happy to help. If the client is a minor, you can check the "Client is a minor" box under Edit > Client Info, then list the guardian as their guardian under Contacts on the same page. To address the Make Payments To: section on Superbills to the guardian, visit Edit > Billing and Insurance and select "Primary Insured" under "For Superbills, make payments to:"
Let me know if you have any additional questions about this, or anything else SimplePractice. I'm here to help.

Hi Catherine, under Edit Details > Client Info, you can change the client's name or delete the client. To change their name, edit the name in the First Name and Last Name fields. To delete the client, scroll to the bottom, select "Delete Client," and enter the client's name to remove them from your SimplePractice account. Please note that deleting the client will also delete any associated appointments, Consent Forms, and documentation.

Hi Michelle,
I hope you are having a nice day. I would be happy to help.
Currently, when you make an update to the last name of your client, the change will only affect sessions created moving forward. All billing documents and forms will remain unchanged.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions, and I’ll be glad to assist you.

Hello Simple Practice Help Team,
I have a potential new client and am sending them the consent documents, etc. through the portal. I did not know their last name on first contact, so I used "Client" or "New Client" in the part of the form, so that I could continue to send the info to them. The problem when they receive it and change the "Client" last name to theirs the consent documents stay are signed "Bob Client" not his real last name, say "Bob Field". How can the signature be changed on the consent doc. if they have the wrong name on them? Thanks for your help.

I am trying to change a client's name as it comes up on the calendar and such places, which is with a "4" as the middle initial. However, it is correct in the client information, and when I edit that section in the place where I can change the date and whatnot, I am not able to change the name.

I have a client who’s last name has legally changed. I need this to be reflected on the superbill for the last several sessions. How do I do this? When I go in to edit the client’s last name and save it, it just creates a completely new client in the system and none of the data or documentation has been transferred over to the new client. I don’t want to create a new client anyway. I want to change their last name in the account and on their recent documentation.
