Can clients see Progress Notes in the Portal?

Hi, I’m a newbie potentially transferring from Therapynotes. Just wondering... can clients see progress notes in portal?

    If I submit an insurance claim through Simple Practice, can an insurance company see notes or documents in Simple Practice without actually requesting them? In other words, do they have the ability to access the client’s record without my knowledge?

    Hi Petra, insurance payers cannot see anything in your SimplePractice account. They can only see the claims that you submit to them through SimplePractice.

    Hi Katie, clients cannot see Chart Notes in the Client Portal. They can only view items that have been explicitly shared with them - for example, Questionnaires, Consent Forms, their billing information and billing documents (optionally), and their appointment schedule. Your notes and documentation are not shared with the client through the Portal.
