I need color coding to know whether it is initial consultation appointment or follow up appointment or other services.

I agree. Love to be able to distinguish between new evaluations and follow-up appointments at a glance on the calendar!

In order to check whether or not an upcoming client has completed their intake paperwork, it would REALLY help for intake appointments to be color coded so I'm not checking every appointment for every clinician in our group practice each day. Would love this edit to happen!

I agree, some kind of coding (color or icon) would be extremely helpful. Some of my patients are seen for just 15 mins, others for 30 minutes or an hour. Some of them use a particular resource, others don't. Color coding the appointments will help the front office schedule appointments efficiently.

I agree with the suggestion on color coding. It will help me distinguish my online sessions from my office sessions.

Is this becoming a feature? I really would like/need the ability to id appointments on the calendar.

Me too!  Please...also a way to know if a client has arrived or completed an appointment and left.  We have more than 1 or 2 Therapists and it would be very helpful.

    Thank  you

The inability to color code my clients according to intake and other things such as age make the system difficult for my administrators.

Color coding would be great!  Not only for the different types of visits but to utilize for meetings and time off as well.

Would be extremely helpful! Please make this a feature

    Hi,

I would also like for there to be more color options on the calendar. This seems like such an easy fix so I am curious why it hasn't happened yet?

    Dear SP Development Team,

This is the only program that does not permit color coding of types of service.  This is an absolute must. I have multiple large clinics with 20 or more provider's, and I have to be able to distinguish between New Patients and Established patients based on the procedure code.  This really needs to be on you next update or we will probably start looking for a different program.

Yes, I would really appreciate being able to color code my non-session meetings/activities. Is there someone looking into programming that option for us to use? Thanks!!

This would be really helpful. I would like to have colors for therapy vs testing patients.

Hi Alisha, when you use SimplePractice's integrated Telehealth feature, online sessions will be distinguished from office sessions by a video camera icon and a different colored stripe on the left-hand side of the session. Are you using SimplePractice's integrated Telehealth?

My old EHR would color code session type and it was great. It is so hard for admin to look and see how many new clients are being booked without opening up the session. In addition it is helpful for the clinicians to be able to distinguish between the sessions

Yes, this would help so very much!! Definitely distinguish between intakes and reoccuring sessions. It is also helpful to distinguish between different session lengths (IE: 90837 code versus 90834 or couples/family sessions 90846). If we are given a choice to color code our services, then the developers do not need to preset colors for various services, just give us a choice to do it manually.

Color coding is vital for scheduling purposes. It would be good to be able to have a different color for assessment, 90837, 90834 ect

Apparently - SP users have been asking for more color coding options for the scheduling for years and SP has done nothing.  I am going with another provider for our EMR system as a result of this.  One clinic that used SP indicated that they were told years ago that this would be done - and still nothing.

As I believe I suggested a few months ago, alongside color coding (which I would like to see for weekly and biweekly clients) I would like to see a (color) code or a mechanism for rescheduling clients that saves the original space (perhaps by entering an option of 'reschedule' in the drop down for show/cancellation/noshow).  Would be a huge time saver.  Right now, the task of tracking reschedules (without leaving a vacant spot on the calendar for the original appt) is a nightmare.

Is there any progress with this? I voted on the other forum linked but it looks like nothing has been updated there in almost 2 years.

With the others...is there any movement in this direction? This is something that is VERY needed and would help immensely with scheduling.

An idea - We are able select colors for our practice locations - these colors show up in the calendar. What about being able to select colors for our service codes (CPT 92523 vs. CPT 92507) that could be seen in the calendar as well? This would be a very similar setup. It would be helpful if the entire schedule block was colored based on these service codes, with the additional color on the edge of the block for location. For instance, when I have a current client that is scheduled for a re-evaluation, it would be so helpful to be able to indicate the session as a re-evaluation versus treatment session.

I would like to color code clients and other appointments in the calendar. I have a part-time practice and also work part-time at a hospital and it would be helpful to  use different colors for different income streams. Thanks!

It would be VERY helpful to have a color coding system for appointments.  This way, at a glance, I can see who is scheduled for an assessment vs. an individual session.
