load previous note choosing which note

can i choose which note I load as my previous note. Sometimes when a patient cancels I write a simple progress note and then i dont want to load that one. I want the previous one.

  Hi Karen, you can load only the last written note. However, this is a great idea, and you can vote for it at simplepractice.uservoice.com. That's how our development and Product teams determine which new features should take priority.

  What if you added a chart note instead of a simple progress note. You still get to track the cancellation and correspondence but your last progress note will always be one from an actual session.

  I agree that it would be helpful to be able to load notes of the same kind or CPT code.  For example if I run a group session, then loading that note for a client depending on the CPT code (rather than an individual session note) would be very helpful so I don't have to go back and figure out what I did last group session.

  I know that I have made this suggestion before and we are told to VOTE on it. I have seen this multiple times mentioned by others but I can't find a consolidated request so that we can all vote on the same one. I know this is a problem for almost everyone who uses different types for notes for different sessions on the same client. It doesn't seem like it would be difficult to do. My previous EHR company let you choose which note to copy (like a drop down option). I love the constant enhancements that SP is doing, but this one seems to need to take priority because copying only the last note seems antiquated.

  I'd like to do a "chart note" instead of a progress note... is there a way to remove the reminder that a note needs to be completed for a cancelled appointment?

  Hi Sarah - To remove a reminder from appearing in your Reminders tab, you'll want to click on its corresponding X. Here is a guide on Dismissing Reminders.
