patient printout for upcoming appointments
AnsweredWe do not use appointment cards. Is there a way to give patients a printout of upcoming appointments
-
Hi Patricia, clients can see their upcoming appointments in their Client Portal. Additionally, you can set up Appointment Reminders for clients so they're reminded of their appointments 24, 36, or 48 hours in advance. Finally, on each client's chart, their next 6 appointments are shown on the right-hand side. You can copy and paste this into a Word or Txt document to print it and share it with your client. Let me know if you have any additional questions about this, or anything else SimplePractice. I'm here to help.

Offer to take a photo of the 6 appointments with the client's phone. I actually like how it forces clients to use their portal.
I've created a 'flyer' on the exit window/desk with a QR code and quick instructions on how to add the link TO THEIR HOMESCREEN on their cell phone making access to the portal LIKE THERE IS AN APP FOR THAT even that there's still not.
I hope my tips help!

I know this is an old string - but we are just moving our group over from TherapyAppointment and I'm amazed their is not a print upcoming appointment list. I see the responses above and agree client can log into Patient Portal - BUT all clients will not use the portal as we have learned at Therapy Appointment.
This seems like a simple option to add - Why the delay?
What are the other surprises we should expect?

Hi Rick, while we are always working to make SimplePractice even more functional, we've found that many of our customers use Appointment Reminders to ensure clients know when their next appointment is. Here's a full breakdown from a 3rd party software review website of the differences between your old EHR and SimplePractice: https://www.softwarepundit.com/mental-health/simplepractice-vs-therapyappointment-comparison-practice-management

Hi Gillian
This is an area SP seems to be missing the track. Working with kids and families while some have DCF and DJJ involvement - I'm often asked for a printed list of upcoming appointments from a probation officer or case manager and group home transporter who do not have access to the client portal. Also some clients do not plan to use the Client Portal regardless of my persuasion. I think expecting clients to wait for the reminder text or call is unusual, i wonder if a setting to send a reminder at time the appointment was made would be an option - so if in a session and we schedule next appointment it would automatically send them an email.

One therapist is very hard to schedule, thus clients schedule weekly appts 3-4 months ahead. Since the times vary due to availability, we can't schedule a recurring appointment for some. How can I easily see how far they are scheduled out in order to add new appts when I can only see the next six scheduled dates? I know clients can go to their portal, but the office should have an answer when clients ask for their appt dates otherwise we look a bit foolish.

I agree with the above comments. I schedule my regular clients out about 3 months to make sure they can get on the schedule. As of now I have no way to give them a list of their appointments unless I write them out and I have no way of knowing what has been scheduled past the 6 next appointments.

Hi Everyone - We're currently exploring ways to integrate a full list of upcoming appointments for clients on our platform. Please continue this discussion on our Ideas and Suggestions Board, comment and upvote this post in particular: https://simplepractice.uservoice.com/forums/918553-simplepractice-feedback/suggestions/36553660-viewing-and-printing-client-s-upcoming-appointment
As you can see Gillian has "Acknowledged" the feature request and we're looking into it as a potential enhancement. Check the linked post for status updates. I'll be closing this thread for commenting, but please keep the conversation alive in the Ideas and Suggestions Board.
