Hi Sherry, there is! You can adjust your Availability slots on your Availability calendar based on where you're available and at what time. For example, if you do in-person appointments on Tuesdays 12-2pm, and Telehealth appointments on Wednesdays 10am-12pm, you can create two separate Availability blocks on your Availability Calendar for each time frame so that clients cannot book you for Telehealth on Tuesdays. How do I set up the online scheduling system for clients so they can schedule either an in person session or video session. I do not segment my sessions so I'd like to leave it up to the client to select at the time of scheduling whether they'd like to meet in person or via video. Can you tell me how to do this? Thank you!

Hi Becca, I'd be happy to help with your question. To set up Availability for multiple locations, i.e. your in-person office and your Video Office, simply click "Availability" to visit your Availability calendar and add separate Availability blocks for each location. The blocks will overlap, and give clients the ability to choose either an in-person or video appointment to see you.

Hi Wendy, currently, it's not possible to adjust the Office Locations shown on your Client Portal. We are actively working on Office Location Management functionality.
Yves, you can update each appointment to the Video Office location. SimplePractice does not currently have a way to bulk update future appointments. If you have recurring appointments set up for your clients, you can update current and future sessions with the new location.

How do I make it so clients can choose either my physical office or my virtual (telehealth) office for an appointment? Do I have to change this in availability? I am very confused because if I put in 9-5 availability for my in-person office and 9-5 in my telehealth office, will I end up double booked?

If I have back to back Telehealth appointments and the first one runs over the allotted time, does the second appointment get a virtual waiting room while they wait? What happens if I'm not available when they click on the Telehealth appointment link for their session? Do they get a waiting room?

We have 3 locations: 2 are brick and mortar, one in VIDEO. We are not using Simple Practice Telehealth portal. My concern: If a client schedules a 7PM at Video location, the 7PM is still showing "available" at the brick and mortar. Will this be a double -booking scenario? How can we fix, if so? (Besides manually blocking the brick and mortar)

Hi Joanne, happy to help. Regardless of location, if the client books an appointment through the Booking Widget or Client Portal, that appointment slot is removed for other clients to book even if you haven't accepted the Appointment Request yet. SimplePractice's Online Booking platform does not allow a clinician to be double-booked.

Hi! I have opened up both telehealth and in person availabilty for online booking. When I try to practice scheduling a new appointment however, I only see the option for one location but not the other. How do I make both in person and virtual locations visible for online booking for both new and existing clients?

To add Availability for your Telehealth Video Office to the Client Portal, visit your Availability Calendar, and add Availability blocks to your Availability Calendar with the Video Office location selected. These blocks can overlap. Don't worry about double-booking - SimplePractice's Online Booking platform is designed in such a way that you cannot ever be double-booked by clients scheduling online.

Is there a way for a client in the client portal to select either telehealth or in office based on one appointment slot. I do not want to create separate appointment slots for telehealth so clients do not double book.
If this is not an option can this be a feature that is added, since one may work both telehealth and in office appointments in one location and has a set schedule.

Happy to help, Stacey. You can add Availability blocks to your Availability Calendar that overlap your existing Availability blocks with the Video Office location. SimplePractice knows you can't do more than 1 session at once, so you won't be double-booked - if a client requests a Telehealth appointment, your Availability for an in-office session during the same time slot will disappear from the Client Portal/Booking Widget.
