Required Field Validation
AnsweredI am having a problem with clients not filling out the intake forms through the client portal. Some clients fill in the required fields correctly, and others don't. About 75% of our clients do not fill the forms in completely, or incorrectly. This takes a lot of time correcting these errors. It also keeps us from easily doing benefit checks.
Does Simple Practice have a required fields validator? If the client leaves fields open, they will get an error message and not be able to continue.

Hi Marc, I'd be happy to help with this question. SimplePractice does offer a feature that makes questions on Intake Forms required. To use it, visit My Account > Settings > Notes and Forms, click on the Intake Form(s) you use to edit them, then click each question. You'll notice the "Require Answer" checkbox at the bottom. When you check this checkbox, the client must answer the question to complete the form.

Hi Kareem, I'd be happy to help. SimplePractice's Note and Form Templates allow you to mark questions as Required. To set this up, visit My Account > Settings > Notes and Forms, click on the Intake Form you'd like to edit, then click each question. You'll notice the "Require Answer" checkbox at the bottom. When you check this checkbox, the client must answer the question to complete the form.

Hi, I was wondering if there is the option to make the insurance Plan ID a required field. Many of the clients don't complete that portion when they're filling out their intake paperwork, and sometimes the back and forth of obtaining that information prior to benefit verification delays the start of treatment. Thanks.
