ClearingHouse
AnsweredHello,
What Clearinghouse does Simple Practice Use?
-
Hi Jessica! SimplePractice uses Eligible as our clearinghouse. Because we're tightly integrated with Eligible, if you have a question about an enrollment or claim, you can reach out to the SimplePractice directly for assistance. Let me know if this helps with your question and if we can assist with anything else!

Gillian,
I need the Address, phone number, fax number, a contact: name, phone and Email for Eligible for my ALASKA Medicaid application.
I applying to be a provider not an enrollment through SP and this information is required.
It just occurred to me, many the SP info in the situation is what is needed?
" Complete this item, ONLY, if you will be billing indirectly through a billing agent, clearinghouse, contractor or other entity"
Please advise., Thank you

Hi Deborah,
I'd be happy to clarify this for you.
It sounds like you're looking to enroll with the payer Medicaid of Alaska (AKMCD) in order to file claims electronically or receive payment reports - is that correct?
If so, then you can submit an enrollment to file claims or receive payment reports directly through SimplePractice rather than needing to send that information to the payer outside of SimplePractice. To do this, navigate to My Account > Settings > Insurance Payers and search for the payer in question by name or by payer ID.
From there, you can click the + Enroll button under the Claim Filing Enrollment column to enroll to submit claims to this payer electronically through SimplePractice. If you'd like to receive payment reports (ERAs) from the payer, then click the + Enroll button under the Payment Report Enrollment column.
After you've submitted your enrollment, you will receive a notification once your enrollment has been processed and your enrollment status has been updated by the payer. You can review our list of average payer enrollment approval times here.
For more information about the enrollment process, visit our Enrollment FAQs here. To learn more about our clearinghouse, you can view our Help Center guide on what clearinghouse SimplePractice uses here.
If you are instead looking to become credentialed/paneled with that payer, that is a process that occurs entirely outside of SimplePractice. You can learn more about the Credentialing / Paneling process and SimplePractice here. You can also find our Getting Started Guide to Insurance here.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I’d be glad to assist.

It's Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee. I received a response from Rachel H.
I used that number.

Hi Beth,
I hope you're having a great day. I'd be happy to help with this.
Our clearinghouse's Trading Partner ID for BCBS of Tennessee is 453915417.
I took a look at your Claim Filing Enrollment and Payment Report Enrollment for BCBS in your SimplePractice account, and I noticed that your enrollments are both submitted. Can you clarify what form your filing out?
Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'd be glad to follow up.
Best,
Rachel

Hi David, if you're submitting claims through SimplePractice, you won't have to worry about the clearinghouse's Trading Partner ID, since we take care of that in-house with our clearinghouse, Eligible. I think you maybe referring to the Payer ID for Kaiser Health Plan of Northern California, in which case, you'll want to check out your clients' insurance card to verify what Payer ID to bill.
-
Hi Elaina, you'll actually want to enroll in ERAs through SimplePractice instead of on the Aetna portal. First, add the payer to a client's Billing and Insurance tab, enter the Payer ID on their insurance card in the Insurance Payer search bar. Now, go to your Settings > Insurance > Enrollments and hit the +Enroll button to the right of this Payer, under the Payment Reports column. If there isn't a +Enroll button, we might not have a connection with this Payer, in which case, you can reach out to our Insurance Team to see if a connection can be established. Click here to submit an email Help Request to our Insurance Team.

Hi Elaina, please reach out to our Insurance Team so they can look into the status of your enrollment with our clearinghouse. You can contact them by clicking here to submit an email Help Request!

I'm trying to complete my TriCare EAst set through simple practic. I received an email validating the EDI number 31084. They told me the clearing house Eligible must be holding up the process somehow. When i go through simple practice to look at my insurance listing- it says i still have a document to send in . What document? Is that really the problem? Really need help.

Hello,
I need some help/clarification to understand the enrolling process. If we have enrolled to receive ERAs for lets say Anthem Blue Cross CA in Simple Practice or Blue Shield of CA do we still need to fill out the EFT from that provider to get paid? or no because im submitting claims in SP and I have enrolled?
