Periodic Reminder to the Clinican for Re-evaluations
AnsweredI am hoping to find a way to get an alert based on a patient's progress in their care plan. Is that possible?
It would be really helpful to set X amount of visits as a trigger to get an alert to perform a re-evaluation visit (which requires more time) vs a standard care visit because sometimes a patient will reach that visit number prior to the date set to complete the care plan.
Another thing that would be helpful aside from number of appointments, a care plan has an end date after an intake is completed. So if the alert could be triggered after the end date had passed that would also be helpful.
The best solution would be if the patient would be alerted at the point of scheduling their visit that they are required to have a re-eval visit so there wouldn't be any scheduling issues for the patient or clinican.
Has anyone found a way to do this? As a solo practitioner it can create problems with scheduling if a standard visit is changed to a re-evaluation on the spot. Thanks.

Hi there, thank you for the suggestion on how to make SimplePractice even better. One way you may consider tracking this is in an Administrative Note on the client's chart, which you can edit to count down to the number of sessions left until a re-eval visit is needed.
Additionally, some of our customers use Other appointment types as "sticky notes" on their Calendars to remind them of important dates, i.e. the end date of a particular client's Treatment Plan (keep in mind that Other appointments will remove Availability on your Online Booking Calendar).
You're welcome to post your suggestions on our Ideas board at simplepractice.uservoice.com as well!

Hi Mara,
That's exactly right. SimplePractice does not currently have a feature to set your own reminders for future action items.
However, I invite you to post this idea on our Ideas & Suggestions Board. Posting on this board means that members of our Product Team, as well as all members of our Community, have transparent access to review your suggestion. This board is one of our most important resources for understanding which features will have the most value for our community.
If you're curious, here's more information about how a customer idea can become a SimplePractice feature: Customer feedback: How a customer idea can become a feature in SimplePractice.
