Formatting notes (for example, adding columns or tabs)
Answered

Is there any way to format text so that I can create columns or column-like ways to separate data? I do biofeedback and like to include results from the session. For example, I might want a column of heart rate and temperature averages across conditions:

     HR  temp

1  56    76

2  65    78

I did notice that when I tried to do this using spaces between each number, it either collapses down or creates what looks like a formatted text box:

Any thoughts or help?

Thanks!

    Hi Saul,

There isn't currently a way to integrate a column or table into a progress note or intake form when creating customized client intake and progress note templates within SimplePractice.

Instead, SimplePractice offers several other types of questions to choose from, including:

    • Long Answer
    • Short Answer
    • Single Choice
    • Multiple Choice
    • Dropdown
    • Date Field
    • eSignature

You can learn more about these question types, and how to utilize them, here.

That being said, we love feedback and ideas for ways to advance the platform, and we encourage you to add a comment and vote on a request for this feature on this post on our Ideas and Suggestions board.

Although I appreciate the basic templates you all offer but, why can not people share custom templates with each other? For example, I spent 3 hours making a child intake questionnaire. It would be for each of us to share ideas specifically narrowed to our specialties in the field. For example, I am a play therapist and need forms similar ti what I do. Any hope in the future for this? Thanks

Hi Kimberly, I'd be happy to help. Our Note and Form Template Exchange is where our customers can share their note and intake form templates with one another. SimplePractice customers cannot directly share templates from one account to another at the moment because we simply haven't built that feature yet. However, it is on our radar for a potential future enhancement to SimplePractice.
