Out of Network Deductible Posting

    Hi Erica,

    I understand that you're wondering about how to apply the deductible payment as an out-of-network provider. Since you're an out-of-network provider, you're not bound by a contracted or allowable amount by the insurance payer, and your clients will pay you your full appointment fee when the deductible isn’t met.

    For example, let's say that your session fee is $150 and your client's deductible hasn't been met. In this case, your client would need to pay the full $150 session fee. To accurately record this in your client's profile, you'll want to change their appointment billing type to Self-Pay and then record the client's payment.

    You can change the Billing Type for the session to Self-Pay by following these steps:

    1. Search for and select the client in your search bar.

    2. Click the "Billing" tab next to the "Overview" tab.

    3. Hover your mouse over the session and click the Edit button under the session fee.

    4. Update the session to Self-Pay and charge your client for the full session fee. Click Save.
