    Please fix this!

Most of us use integrated calendars!

this is quiet unfortunate and inconvenient for someone who has multiple business or personal activities that are not client related.  Is there a work around such as inviting myself as a guest to a non simple practice client appointment?  I use color coding with different calendars within google to help organize my consulting, clients, etc separately and having to put everything into the simple practice calendar removes this critical element to staying organized

I want to second what Elizabeth said above!  It is very inconvenient to have to schedule everything in my google calendar under simple practice during office hours!  I also like to color code activities, especially non-clinical activities and meetings. I want the client portal scheduling to be able to take everything in my google calendar into account when showing what appointment slots I have open. Right now it appears that I have WAY more availability just because I have a lot of other activities that are not client sessions. I REALLY want to enable my clients to self schedule but I also don't want to mess up my own system or end up with double bookings.

Please fix this bug!  I have done google syncing before with another website and it worked just fine to "see" all of my google calendar events.

I just upgraded to the higher plan specifically for the 2 way calendar sync.  After I came to accept I cannot use ical, it looks to be that all of personal appts must be manually entered into the SP layer of the calendar.  Is this correct?

Hi Nancy, I'd be happy to help. SimplePractice's Google Calendar sync only reads the SimplePractice calendar layer in your Google Calendar. In order for events from your Google Calendar to sync up to your SimplePractice Calendar, you'll always want to schedule it on the SimplePractice calendar layer in Google Calendar. Let me know if you have any additional questions about this, or anything else SimplePractice. I'm here to help.

I tried the copy feature on non SP appointments I have scheduled and it only allows me to copy one appointment.  Once I try the 2nd one it removes the 1st copied appointment and adds the 2nd appointment i copied

    Hi There!

Yes, I agree whole heartedly. Please set up so google calendar can sync with simple practice. I would like my team to know that I am out of the office for personal events without them seeing the personal events. But there are other times I'm in the office, but not available for clients. It's impossible to show these differentiations on the simple practice calendar. It would make my life so much simpler if I could schedule my personal life in google and if that overlapped with office hours it would show up in Simple Practice. I'm really looking forward to this.

    Sincerely,

    Jolene

This is really confusing so I would deeply appreciate some clarification so I know I've done everything I can, for the time being. My understanding is now that I've set up the 2-way sync, that I thought was literally 2-way, but doesn't seem to be, my SimplePractice appointments will sync to Google Calendar but my Google Calendar appts will not sync directly to SimplePractice calendar. Is this correct?

I have a part-time private practice, where appts are made on SimplePractice, and then for them to sync to google is half of it. But I also work for a company that uses Google Calendar to make our appts, so those must be made on Google. It's a lot of work to rebook all those on SimplePractice, so then my private practice clients won't try to occupy those same spots, but right now there is no fix for this correct?  Dr A

    Hello SP

Checking back in from 2 years ago.  Are there any plans to sync google calendar and simple practice??

Or has anyone found a work around?

I am also struggling with this.  If it cannot be fixed I cannot use the self scheduling application, which is one of the primary reasons I chose this platform.  Has anyone found a way to coordinate this?

    Hi Kristin

Unfortunately no.  I tried to use a Zap but it caused lots of other issues.  To my knowledge Simple Practice hasn't made this a priority
