submitted claims not being received by insurer
AnsweredAll claims that I have submitted electronically through Simple Practice since 11/1/2019 have not been received by the insurance payor - Blue Cross Blue Shield. I have contacted them and they just say that they have not received any claims in the time period. Things were going smoothly prior to this date and now nothing. Please help!

Hi all, I went ahead and reached out to our clearinghouse on your behalf regarding your ARBLS claims. They clearinghouse confirmed that they are currently experiencing some connectivity issues with BCBS.
You can continue to submit claims to this payer via SimplePractice with no issue. Though the claims' statuses won't update until the payer and the clearinghouse resolve the connectivity issues, the clearinghouse confirmed that all submitted claims will process. Currently, there is no action required from you. If necessary, they will resubmit any affected claims on your behalf. They have also confirmed that all affected ERAs will be reposted once the connectivity issues have been resolved.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I'll post in this thread again once all connection issues have been resolved.
Edited: The connection issue with BCBS of Arkansas has been resolved.

We have been having similar issues with BCBS in NC. I have several claims that have been marked as "received" for several months now. I don't want to delete them since it is proof that they were submitted but I have not gotten paid and want to follow up. Should I call BCBS or is that something you can help with?

Hi J and Liz - I'd recommend contacting our Insurance Team! Liz, they'll be able to investigate why your claims are stuck in the "Received" status. J, they'll be able to find out why your client's Medicare Crossover Plan didn't automatically bill the client's secondary insurance. Reach out by submitting an email Help Request. Once you do, an Insurance Specialist will be in touch soon!
