    We  have requested the same feature in the past as our group practice operates the same way. Would be so helpful. Right now we have to utilize 2 calendars for every appointment, one in SP and google to account for the room booking.

    Hi Alicia, I'd be happy to help. One way that some of our customers choose to approach room booking is adding each room in the facility as an Office Location under My Account > Settings > Practice Details.

    Hi Jennifer, while we don't have immediate plans to add room booking to SimplePractice, we're continually working to add new features to our platform based on feedback from our customers. Thanks for sharing that this would be helpful for your practice.

    I would love to see room booking become a priority.  I have tried to use the location in within the settings, but seems more difficult than it needs to be, due to the location showing up on the CPMS form.  Any easy suggestions ...

    Hi Jessica, you should be able to add multiple rooms with the same address, so insurance billing is unaffected.     Would like to know if there is any progress on working with booking rooms. We also have multiple part time therapist for only a few rooms. Since they have access to their own calendars only, they don't know if a room is booked or not. This is an issue if 2 people book the same room at the same time. Can Simple Practice please address this issue? Thank you.

    We have been using Simple Practice only for a few months. We are on the Professional Plan with 9 counselors. As we are all moving back into the office for primarily face-to-face sessions, this is becoming such an important issue for us that we are already considering switching to other options that have "room booking" as a standard feature. Can you please update us on the progress of adding this feature? Thank you.

    Update on this feature, please.   About 2 years ago, SimplePractice mentioned they were working on this feature (see comment below).

    I attempted to go to the subscribe link to see for team's progress on this feature and it has been removed.   This feature is something users really need (it appears to be an ask not only in this community posting but also appears in multiple other community postings under different titles) like trying to address double booking the same room.  When do you expect to have this feature?  It not only will help your users stay with you given recent increases in price structure but you likely will be able to target more center group practices with this new feature as a reason to move to your platform.

    The ability to book therapists in rooms is a CRITICAL NEED for ANY Group Practice … why is this feature taking so long to implement ?

    ALSO, it is critical that the solution actually MANAGES the rooms availability and does not just provide a drop down field … I.e. it needs to prevent double booking

    I suggest simple practice link up with teamup or integration feature. If appointments in simple practice could integrate with teamup I believe my whole practice would be on with simple practice instead of just me a solo practitioner.

    Dear SimplePratice team,

    Like others here, I would also like to recommend that one can only select from available offices when booking a session. This avoids double booking, reduces the need to rely on third party calendars, and reduces the need for unnecessary coordination across large practices. I know that TheraNest has had this feature for some time.

    Hello!

    I work in a small practice and we are moving from Google Calendar to SimplePractice. We really like SimplePractice but we really miss the ability to book rooms. It's quite frustrating for my staff that they have to individually click every other appointment at that hour to see what room is booked.

    We run a play therapy business and we have rooms that specifically designed for certain activities. We can't just take any room that is available.

     

    Please add in a room booking feature!!

    This is a basic feature that should have been built out before changing SP's branding. This is a basic need for group practices. Client care can be impacted when rooms are double booked. Is there an update regarding this feature? I can't believe this is still on the discussion boards.

    I agree, this is a basic feature that should have been rolled out before changing SP’s branding or rolling out paying by Apple Pay. This affects client care and practice operations and is a deal breaker which is effecting our choice of whether or not to continue with Simple Practice. We should not have to add additional offices and have clients see what room they are in when booking through the portal…so ridiculous.

    Given recent increases in subscription costs, and added credit card transaction costs, SimplePractice should address this ask and provide room booking as a feature. I think that many customers will feel that they are getting added value from the room booking feature and not push back as much if they feel that there subscriptions comes with added benefits like "room booking." There is value to us as customers, reduced cost in administrative time in scheduling and managing moments of double-booking, etc.  PLEASE provide a response to your loyal customers.

    This is a HUGE problem. My practice continues to encounter administrative errors in booking rooms due to the delay on this. I'm seriously considering changing EHR for my team to TherapyNotes. Please update this thread. This needs attention, not a work around.

    This post is 4 years old and comments are as recent as two weeks. Yet Simple Practice has STILL not fixed this issue? Many practices have several rooms in one location AND often have different locations with more rooms. Clients don’t know what to book when requesting online. How are they supposed to know what to select if we start adding all these “locations” to the widget? This is a SIMPLE fix….. maybe SIMPLE practice isn’t the best name if they don’t want to provide these SIMPLE solutions other platforms figured out ages ago.

    Hello Simple Practice,

    Is there any movement on the option of booking specific rooms?  Are there plans to work on this for the platform?

    Love Simple Practice and the ease of billing, the ease of payment updates, notes, scheduling, integrated telehealth, and the clients appreciate the client portal.  BUT really need a way to schedule specific sessions rooms.

    Simple Practice- It would be very helpful for those of us waiting for this feature to have some update regarding it. We NEED this. With a group practice of over 30 clinicians juggling days and rooms, sometimes by three or four increments, having this option is uber important. PLEASE REPLY the above posts say you were working  on this over three years ago??
