My staff is also having difficulty with the screen share. They can't even select the button anymore?

Hi Guy, Safari is not supported by SimplePractice's Telehealth platform. We recommend using Chrome or Firefox for the best experience.

Champions for Children staff, it sounds like you need to enable permissions for screensharing on your devices. Here's a guide: https://support.simplepractice.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001196372-Getting-started-with-Telehealth#screenshar

I was unable to use the telehealth connection today because the sound on the client's end was not working. Is there something they could have done to correct that? If so, w

Hi Laurie, I'd be happy to help with this. Please refer to this Help Center guide on troubleshooting Telehealth audio issues: https://support.simplepractice.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041146032-Troubleshooting-Telehealth-appointment-issues

I am using a chromebook and am able to share my screen; however I can't screen share and see myself or my client simultaneously.  I am able to do this with other platforms.  Is telehealth capable of this feature.  I already know how to go back and forth from screen share to the client, but I need to be able to see their mouths when doing speech therapy.

I think I read this in the comments, but I wanted to get some clarification. When screensharing, I would NOT be able to share a video with audio with my client, correct? I saw something about sending through a secure message, but we could not be able to view simultaneously, right?

I am working mostly with children, and videos and books read on Youtube are a tool that I have would use frequently.

    Thank,

    Sarah

Just reiterating I would like the ability to screen share and talk/see the clients simultaneously. In addition if white board were a complementary program that we would use within the platform that would be useful.

    Hi Shannon,

I'll be happy to help you with this. I'm seeing that you are wondering how to go about seeing your client while you are sharing your screen during your Telehealth sessions.

There's not a way at this time to see the your client and Screen Share simultaneously. An alternative solution is to flip back and fourth between the Telehealth by SimplePractice tab and the tab that you are sharing. This way you can see your client's mouth while in session. I've listed an example below:

The blue square above indicates the tab that you are sharing with your client.

FYI: I open up two separate windows. One for the content I want to share and one for Telehealth session and I just make them both smaller and side by side so I can see my client when I am sharing something on the screen.

How do I use screen share on iPad?

For my practice I desperately need to be able to share computer audio and be able to speak over it and hear my clients as I use a depth music psychotherapy technique. Playing the music cuts through my itunes on my computer and through an external speaker are both too distorted and choppy.

I know this is available on other video platforms, but I am paying for simple practice and would like to be able to simplify and use everything here.

Hi All - Thank you all for your contributions to the Community Forum. I'm happy to clarify a few things below:

Elizabeth - Currently, there isn't a way to screen share on the Telehealth by SimplePractice Mobile app. You can, however, use the browser on your iPad to sign into SimplePractice's website and access a Telehealth appointment from there. This way, you'll be able to use the screen sharing function on your iPad.

Dalena - This idea has been posed in our Ideas and Suggestions board. I'd encourage you to head over and add to the conversation here: https://simplepractice.uservoice.com/forums/918553-simplepractice-feedback/suggestions/40003792-share-sound-in-telehealth-screen-sharing

    Hi,

I have tried using Screenshare a number of times with different clients, but it never works. I am using Chrome. Should I use a different web browser?

    Thanks,

    Victoria

Hi Victoria, happy to help. Can you clarify whether you receive an error message when attempting to screenshare? If possible, can you provide some more context around what happens when you try to share your screen using Telehealth?

I am in need of two features that would greatly improve my counseling sessions. Giving clients control in share screens and streaming audio when sharing videos. All of my clients report they cannot hear the videos through My speakers. Sending a link to client via secured message is not conducive. I was hopeful these two options would have been improved by now. I’m waiting patiently but this has affected my virtual sessions immensely especially working with children. Can you please provide me with a timeframe when these features will be implemented?

I have already voted for these features.

Up until last week I was able to share screen with clients during Telehealth session.  I can still share the screen but the shared screen is small and I cannot seem to adjust the size.  It is not just my view either as clients have complained that the screen is 1/4 of the size it was previously.  Is there a way to adjust this?  Screen share is virtually useless as it stands now since the screen is so small.  Thanks you

Hi Jolene, the screen share image that you see is smaller in the Telehealth window, but your clients should be able to see it in full view. There have been instances of clients selecting the "Grid View," which will minimize the screen share image to be split between the image of you and them. You can instruct your clients to get out of "Grid View" by clicking the button to the top right of the screen, pictured here:

Hi! I use my tablet for Telehealth with clients; and screen sharing is really important in my practice. Will you guys be adding the feature to access screen sharing on a mobile device soon?

    Thank you,

    Tamara

Hi Tamara, we're considering adding this functionality for the mobile app, but I don't have an exact ETA for you on when that will be available. In the meantime, please add your comments and vote on this feature request so our Product Team can consider your feedback as they build out future enhancements: https://simplepractice.uservoice.com/forums/918553-simplepractice-feedback/suggestions/40186525-screen-sharing-on-ipad-app

Hi There, When using telehealth FX on my MAC I can screen share only internet and video. I cannot seem to find a way to screen share an active word doc that the client and I can draft together while talking during the session.

    Please advise,

    Joshua
