Two Group Practices Information Sharing
Answered

My group practice (2 prescribing APRNs) shares clients with another group practice (8+ psychotherapists). We both use Simple Practice, so there are 2 separate accounts. Is there a way to grant read only access to our shared clients in each of our accounts?

Currently we need to either print/email notes and then upload into our records which is an extremely cumbersome process for the number of clients and volume of information that we share in an ongoing basis.

In the details for the client, where you can select clinicians granted access, I would love to see a way to add other simple practice account users. Could this happen with an email invite to the clinician who already uses simple practice?

Hi Courtney, I'd be happy to help. It's not currently possible to grant read-only access to client information in another SimplePractice to a clinician in another practice. However, we're always looking for ways to improve SimplePractice, and appreciate your suggestion of a way to link two separate SimplePractice accounts for sharing documentation.

I agree with Courtney. I'm currently supervising three clinicians. They also have clients from other referral sources. They have their own SimplePractice account and have made me a supervisor on it.  However, there are clients that will move between clinicians, including myself. It would be helpful to be able to either link Simple Practice accounts and be able to limit access where wanted/necessary, but be able to share client info on the primary clinicians account. Right now it is cumbersome and each time I move between each account, I have to log out, log back in - then it tells me that my password is invalid. Then I reset my password to the supervises account and so on. This cannot be an uncommon request.
