Importing transactions to Quickbooks

I am attempting to import transactions to Quickbooks 2020 as an iif file and it is failing with an error message after each transaction

"Expected 'ENDTRNS'. All transactions must end with ENDTRNS. [15153]"

This is the first time I have attempted to import transactions, so I don't know if this is a typical issue or new to QB2020. 

If anyone has experience with this, I would appreciate input.

  Hi Heather, have you had a chance to reach out to QuickBooks support regarding this error message?

  Because it is an issue with the way the file is formatted their instructions are to seek support from the program generating the file.

  I am getting error messages trying to load onto Quickbooks 2013.  I thought maybe my version was just too old.  Do I need to update to Quickbooks 2020 to make this work?

  I am trying to decide wether or not to use QuickBooks Self-Employed. Were these issues ever resolved or are there still problems?

  SimplePractice allows you to export transactions into a Quickbooks file format for import into Quickbooks. Some of our customers use this export to enter transaction data into Quickbooks. Some of our customers instead choose to link Quickbooks to their business bank account to account for all payments received.
