Availability for Interns
AnsweredHello,
I am a counseling intern and my supervisor gave me access to the site.
However, I have not discovered how to create a treatment note, tx plan, or view notes and forms for even "clients" like Johnny Appleseed.
Is there a way that those without license numbers to view this information?
I thought I would ask here.
Thank you,
Christal

Hi Christal, I'd be happy to help with your question. Even if you're not licensed yet, you can still access all of SimplePractice's features, depending on the Team Member access level granted to you by your supervisor. Check with your supervisor to ensure you've been added as a Clinician Team Member so that you have access to create new clients, enter treatment plans, and enter notes and forms for your clients.

Can we add interns to our EHR without having to pay an additional $40/month?! They are technically my clients still so I shouldn't have to pay for another person to manage them; but the intern is seeing them under my supervision and needs to be adding notes. I tried selecting a member that can only access their own notes/billing and not ALL of my clients; but it wants to upcharge me about $40/mo. Is there a free alternative to helping interns serve my clients?

Hi Melissa, currently, there's no way to add an intern without granting them clinician access. Sometimes interns create their own SimplePractice accounts and can add Supervisors for free to review notes and documentation; however, the intern would need to pay for their own SimplePractice Professional Plan subscription, which is $59/ month, and create the clients in their account instead. You're welcome to post on our Ideas and Suggestions Board so our Product Team can review your feedback on this: http://simplepractice.uservoice.com/!
