sharing or transfering account credit amoung family members
Answered

I greatly appreciate the new upgrades. These changes are making life simpler when dealing with families.

Is there a way to use ie: mom's $20 account credit to pay for child's $20 copay? Since mom is responsible for both accounts this seems like a reasonable request.

    Hi Noah,

SimplePractice doesn't currently have a feature to transfer credit from one client to another one who they are connected to with Enhanced Client Management. I definitely suggest adding this to our Ideas and Suggestions board.

For now, what you can do is to add a negative payment (also called a Billing Adjustment) to the mother's billing page for -$20.

Next, add a matching $20 payment to the child's billing page. This will effectively transfer payment from one file to another.

I suggest using the Check payment option when you do this so you can add a short note (up to 20 characters) to the check number field. You can also make a chart note in each client file explaining the situation.

If you have questions, please reach out to us and we'll be happy to help.
