Insurance company ask for clinical record review
None

One insurance company asks for clinical record review, due to HIPAA consideration, the client's name will be redacted. Insurance company asks for two records,  I can pick any two clients. I am using SP for all my notes, do anyone have experiences working with this kind of request?  For now, all I can think of is to print out records from SP and remove the name.  I am wondering are there any other better way to handle it?  Any advise is highly appreciated.

Hi Adelina - We apologize for the late response. You're correct, the best way to redact the client's PHI from their records would be outside of SimplePractice, after exporting their client files. You can export client files by going to My Account > Settings > Data Export. Here is more on this topic: Data export: Exporting client information. Next, you'll want to black out, or redact the client's name and PHI from the PDF documents in the exported zip file.
