Termination Note
AnsweredI would like to be able to write an additional termination note, separate from the last session without having to make an appointment that isn't a real session. Is there a way to write a note like that? It would be helpful to be able to select and pull up a termination note like I pull up the Treatment plan.
I also noticed there was not a template for a termination note. I created my own template but can't use it without creating an appointment. It would be helpful if I could do this someway.

Hi Heidi, I'm happy to share that we're actively working on a feature that will allow you to create templated Assessments and Notes from the +Create button, as you described in your post. You can subscribe to updates on our progress on our Ideas board here: https://simplepractice.uservoice.com/forums/918553/suggestions/36552958
In the meantime, you have several options. Some of our customers add a no-fee appointment to the schedule retroactively with a new service code for Report Writing. Others prefer to upload the Termination Note to the client's chart under the Stored Documents section. Others simply create a Chart Note.
Let me know if you have any additional questions about this, or anything else SimplePractice. I'm here to help.

Hi, I want to second the original post from Gillian -- I understand that I can create a fake no-fee appointment or upload a termination note to stored documents, but both these fixes strike me as clumsy and unnecessarily complicated. I am really hoping SimplePractice will make it possible for clinicians to simply add a *lockable* termination note/discharge summary that is not associated with an appointment, in the same way we can currently add a chart note that is not associated with an appointment. This is one of the features I am missing that was available in Titanium.

Hi Trista and Dorothy, I'm excited to share that our feature allowing you to create templated, lockable Assessments in SimplePractice that aren't associated with a date of service has been released. To use it, simply click +Create on your client's Overview page and select Assessment. You can add Assessment Templates to SimplePractice and create your own customized templates under My Account > Settings > Notes and Forms > Template Library. Let me know if you have any questions about using this new feature.
