Insurance reports truncate some client names
Answered

Hi there,

When I look at my insurance reports some of my client's names will show in full.  Other clients of mine will be missing the beginning of their first and last name and those will have stars at the beginning of the name and it will show what appears to be the last three letters of their first and last name? It might instead of Benjamin Franklin it would show *****min  *****lin.

Can anyone explain the purpose of this? Its kind of like a crossword where I have to figure out who these clients are by going over my list of clients.  Can I change my simple practice so that I can see the full names of clients in the report section?

    Hi Adrian,

I can certainly clarify on the reason behind the starred out names on the electronic payment reports report.

The reason you might see this is if the claim that the payment report is connected to is not currently available in SimplePractice. When we receive a payment report, the system matches the Payer Claim # present on the report with a claim in your account. This discrepancy can occur if the claim was filed in SimplePractice and then deleted, or the claim was filed outside of SimplePractice but you were enrolled in payment reports at the time it was finalized.
