I would be happy with a free 30 day trial, too. I want to use Simple Practice to keep everything in one place, but I haven't used Telehealth before. Thank you!

I'm trying to figure out how to send existing clients the Telehealth authorization form.  I have not used the client portal yet and do want to send all my other forms or online scheduling.  I did a sample with a fake client and even though I only checked Telehealth authorization all my forms came through.   Where else do I need to look to make sure only the form I select goes through each time.

Looks like I have to customize an email introduction for this form - not a generic introduction. The videos and help links seem to go through you're preferred process. I'm looking for a variation.

Where can I find a Telehealth auth form?

Go to settings, on the left column under client portal, share documents and the Telehealth form is there to edit.  That's where I found it

It is possible to have a telehealth session with a prospective client who has not filled out intake paperwork yet?

I am not finding the telehealth template form in the consent- shared section of client portal under setting. Do I need to create my own?

    thanks!

I am not finding the Telehealth Informed Consent document either, and I've looked in the places suggested above and elsewhere in Help/Support articles.  I have signed up for Telehealth via my account.

If we want to provide short term Telehealth due to coronavirus, being able to sign up for Telehealth on a monthly basis would be great. However- when I go to sign up, I'm only offered a yearly subscription. Can Simple Practice make this monthly option available to us now?

I think I'm paying month by month. $10 each month.

I ended up copying and pasting the telehealth informed consent example from the help section and personalizing with my own information.

I tweaked mine a little bit too.

I have a private practice in Downtown Boston and will see all my 1:1 clients with SP Telehealth platform. I also run a group. Will SP expand its functionality for Therapy/Support Groups? I prefer to keep everything in one place. I don't like ZOOM.

I would appreciate you informing us as to whether we will be able to run groups on this platform as soon as possible.  Of course, my preference is to not have to pay for two separate platforms!  Thanks.

How do I sign up for video calls through Simple Practice?

How much is the service? Do you bill monthly or yearly?

    Thank you,

Can counselors bill the same for telehealth communication as if the client was face to face in the office?

  • Gillian

Hi Niesha, payers vary significantly by plan, state, and payer in terms of how to bill for Telehealth sessions and what the rates are. We recommend checking with payers directly for the best information.

why isn't telehealth available on the essential plan? it would nearly double my monthly cost to add telehealth, because i would also need to upgrade from essential to professional.

This is exactly my issue too.  I'd be happy to pay an additional $10/month for telehealth (if it works well for me), but I don't understand why it's not available with the Essential plan.  I don't need all the features that come along with the Professional plan, so just adding telehealth almost doubles my monthly expense.

Hi Jessamyn and Dr. Luley, SimplePractice's Telehealth platform was built to run on our Professional plan only. Let me know if you have any additional questions about this, or anything else SimplePractice. I'm here to help.

    HI gillian,

I just upgraded to Professional yesterday so I could offer telehealth.  I did a test yesterday afternoon with the Johnny Applseed client and it went fine.  I sent the clients the link, but they were unable to connect.  "Waiting for participant" came across both of our screens.  Could it be because I used Safari?  But the test went fine on Safari.  Please advise.  Thank You!

Is there a group function for Telehealth?  I've had a lot of success with transitioning my clients to telehealth sessions.  I really need capacity for running a group or couples session.  Any suggestions or information about that functionality?

During the time when many of us who generally don't practice telehealth (or need the functions of a professional account), is there a way to sign up for telehealth only without upgrading to a professional account? I would prefer to keep telehealth within simple practice but it is hard to justify the expense when I don't need (and won't use) any other function of the professional account. I am in my second year of practice and with simple practice and I'm disappointed that in a time of crisis when all of us are scrambling to continue to provide treatment with minimal disruption to our vulnerable patients, Simple Practice can't make a short - term accommodation and do their part for their consumers and the larger community.

I am curious about the benefits or advantages of using the tele health platform through Simple Practice versus something like Doxy.  I know the fee for Doxy is very minimal and some are getting it for free right now.  I like the idea of keeping things in house and utilizing the client portal.  However, I am hesitant to pay 120, without trying it first.

I understand that new customers get a 30 day free trial of telehealth, but I am an existing customer.  I paid a year in advance for the professional plan, but I only need telehealth during this outbreak.  Can I pay month to month for telehealth?

I have the same feelings expressed by others.  I am only interested in the Telehealth feature and to go from $39 to$59 is a big jump for only wanting one feature....

Do we need to add a modifier to the end of our CPT code to reflect that it was a session done by Telehealth? For 90834, for example, do we add something to the end?
