Phone Consultation on Booking Widget
Answered

Is there a way to remove the office location from the booking widget? I'm currently using it to offer the initial phone consultations. I know the availability will let me choose based on location but I cannot create a nonphysical location.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Additionally, it appears I cannot remove the link to the client portal in the appointment confirmation email, is that correct?

Thank you in advance,

Stacey

    Hi Stacey,

I'm happy to help with that.

The Booking Widget and Client Portal will always display the location of any and all offices that have Online Booking available.

Your main office's address will appear at the bottom of the Client Portal, and any addresses of offices will display in step 2 on the Online Booking flow.

That being said, if no Online Booking availability is set up (from the Availability Calendar), then these would not appear in the Booking Widget or Client Portal.

One recommendation I would have is to edit the office addresses themselves in My Account > Settings > Practice Details > Office(s).

A phone consult can be added with a dash (-), a period, or with "location unavailable" for the required fields of Street, City, and Zip. These fields are required and cannot be saved if left completely blank:

This will obscure the location of a phone consultation, so clients will know not to show up to a physical address for their phone consult:

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions on that. We're happy to help.

Hello! I'm trying to set up the booking widget on my website. It allows it to go through and show my billable services. It is not showing my initial consultation meeting which is NO CHARGE. Is there a way I can change this please?

    Thanks!

Hi Amy, I'd be happy to help with this. Make sure that the services are checked as allowed for Online Booking on your Availability blocks on your Availability calendar.

    Hello there!

I'm having the same issue with initial consultations. The book online section is greyed out in Simple Practice's billing section, therefore, it's not uploading via the widget on my website. Any ideas to rectify this?

    Thanks,

    Nakeya

Happy to help, Nakeya. All you need to do is activate Online Booking under My Account > Settings > Client Portal.

    Hi,

I too am trying to add initial consultations under my online services throughout the booking widget. Every other service comes up; however the initial consultation does not show. Is there a way to fix this?

    Hey Gillian,

Initial consultations still aren't bookable for me. I have online booking checked. Is this because I'm requiring a credit card to reserve sessions and initial consultations are free?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I want to add a button to my website allowing 3 options: 1) Book first appointment, 2) From the second appointment onward, and 3) Free consultation.  How do I create and add the free consultation?

    Hi All,

I've addressed each of your questions below, I'm happy to further clarify, or have a teammate reach out to you over email with more information if you'd like.

Elizabeth and Nakaya - I can certainly identify a few reasons why your "Initial Consultation" service codes may not be appearing bookable for new clients.

First, you'll want to go to My Account > Settings > Client Portal and check the box to allow new clients to book, pictured here:

Next, go to My Account > Settings > Billing and Services > Services to make sure that this service code available for online booking and you've enabled new clients to book it, pictured here:

Lastly, you'll want to create Availability timeframes from your Calendar Homepage that include this service. If you've already indicated your Availability on your Calendar, then you need to go back and edit the Availability and check the box for this newly added service. Here is a screenshot:

If you're still unable to book this service code as a "New Client," I can have a team member investigate this further for you.

Leslie - If you'd like to embed the SimplePractice Booking Widget to allow new clients to book appointments from your website, you can certainly do this. However, existing clients, or clients who you've already had an appointment with, cannot book appointments directly from your website. Instead, pre-exising clients will use their Client Portal login to book appointments online.

    Hi,

I'm still having issues when I copy and past the code for the widget on my website.  The only thing showing up is for the free consult.  Can I speak to a team member at SP to help clarify what the issues may be?  Thank you.
