Hiding/resizing own image in video sessions
Answered

Hi!, are there options for clients to hide the video image of themselves during video sessions? I am hearing from clients who are distracted/distressed by it and don't want to do video sessions because of this. Also, is there a way to resize the video of myself? I also find it distracting and would prefer to make it just small enough to tell that I am in view. Thank you.

Hi Colette, I'd be happy to help. Currently, there is no way to minimize or hide the video preview of yourself in SimplePractice's Telehealth platform. One very low-tech solution suggested by our community is to have the client put a sticky note over their video to minimize distractions. If you'd like to vote for a feature that will allow you to minimize or hide your video preview, here's a link to the idea on our Ideas board: https://simplepractice.uservoice.com/forums/918553/suggestions/36334276
