Hi Maggie, happy to help. SimplePractice shows the full history of all of your notes so that there's a paper trail regarding when notes have been entered, locked, and edited.

This doesn't really answer the question. I did the same thing. I wrote a progress note for the wrong session date. How can I change the season date on a progress note?

Hi Rachel, there isn't currently a way to change the session date while retaining the Progress Note. You'll want to simply cover over the note to the correct session date, and delete or edit the note entered erroneously.

If I write a shell note on 10-1 and I go back and clean the note on 10-5 can I date the note for the original date of 10-1?

Hi Erica, if you're using a Progress Note, then yes! Progress Notes are always attached to the date of an appointment. However, the date and time you locked the note will appear in your electronic signature. Hope that clarifies!

    Hello,

When signing notes, will it show the date it was signed? If so, how do we enter the actual date the note was created? Thank you
