How to manage client charts
AnsweredI am new to electronic charts and not a techie. I am starting this week with charting in SP. However, in the help center I am not finding basic answers such as when a client returns their forms do I need to download them or are they automatically posted to the client's chart. How do I add notes to the client's chart, meeting with a new client today and want to attach the assessment to their chart. Overall, I am not finding the basics on how to navigate SP, may be just me, but spending a lot of time navigating the help center without success.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Happy to help, Tammy. Have you had a chance to take our Getting Started with SimplePractice Class? You can sign up at simplepractice.com/classes.
To answer your questions, no, there's no need to download the forms - they go onto the client's chart and are securely stored in the cloud for you under Uploaded Documents.
You can add a note to a client's chart without a date of service scheduled using a Chart Note. Just type your note into the text box at the top of the client's Overview page and hit Save.
Let me know if you have any additional questions about this, or anything else SimplePractice. I'm here to help. -
I have been in practice part time for years and now going full time, so I signed up with simple practice so that I can manage records and billing better. How do I enter my existing clients without having to send them intake paperwork and without billing an initial assessment? It seems super easy to get new clients going but I am struggling to understand how to get my existing clients information uploaded without going through the steps of the intake process.
