printed progress notes
AnsweredI have seen the new format for printing progress notes and I have a couple of suggestions and feedback. First I had thought that I had read in several readings that the title of note was way too big on the note and that was suggested to be less as big. I noticed that it is still way too large and takes up to much of the page and detract. Also, I do not believe, nor do I want my license number to be on each note that I may print for some authoritative body. Notes are often requested by PO's, childrens services, Dr offices, courts etc and my license number is not needed to be a part of each note. My name an signature should be at the bottom of each note with my credentials. Also having the client date of birth on each note, actually would require a separate release be signed at least in my state as I can't release demographic information without consent as well. Not sure why that would need to be a part of each progress note. It would be helpful if we as clinicians could be able to pick and choose what we would like to print out as part of the note as I know that all states require something different. thank you
