Optimizing Simple Practice for Multistate Licensure
AnsweredHi everyone, I am licensed in both CA and IN, currently living in CA. I'll be moving to IN in September and am wondering what things I should be thinking about in terms of how I use SimplePractice during and after this transition. At the moment, I have on CA clients but the goal is to develop a practice in both states. Most of my CA clients will be continuing with me through telehealth for now.
I saw the discussion that the scheduling and appointment reminders are only in the state that I have set as residence. That is definitely a limitation and I hope they fix that quickly. Are there other aspects of SP that I should be thinking about changing, outside of address, etc.?
Thanks!

Hi Beverly - You're correct, the timezone in your appointment reminders will be set according to the timezone entered in My Account > Settings > Practice Details.
One recommendation is to add a note for your clients to double-check their appointment times and time zones in your default reminders' text. You can edit the text of your reminders under My Account > Settings > Client Reminders. Here's a post on our Ideas and Suggestions Board that you can upvote and comment on for further consideration: https://simplepractice.uservoice.com/forums/918553-simplepractice-feedback/suggestions/39533128-automated-timezone
