Insurance claims
Answered

I sent this to the SP facebook community yesterday, but it has not posted. I have a client who has BCBS but has Cigna as a carve out for behavioral health. I has submitted claims with BCBS which were denied due to the carve out. I am now trying to submit to Cigna (was granted a single case aggreement) and I get the message that I cannot file a claim with the same dates. Do I need to delete the other claims? I don’t want to find out later I might need them for something. Thank you!!!

Hi Susan, happy to help. You can simply download the claims you submitted to BCBS previously for your records. Then, delete them, and create new claims for Cigna. SimplePractice doesn't allow you to add a date of service to more than one claim, so you'll need to delete the original claims to resubmit to the carved out payer.
